Laksa Laksa and Laksa

Yup, you guys are smart, i'm gonna talk about laksa.

Today was a double does of laksa for me... Had laksa Sarawak at Tesco and then had Laksa Johor at Laksa Shack in Pyramid... now my stomach feels "burnt" by all the acid and hot stuff.. hehehe...
BUT... all of it was pretty good... But one thing, for the life of me i can't differenciate the two, they do taste different but right now can't describe them... one thing for sure: it was a good eat.

The laksa shack has good laksas i think, but definitely overpriced a lil. Laksa was 7.90 and the CAN of coke was 3. The serving was ok... but a bit on the pricey side for 'just' laksa. There's a place at KLCC food court that also sells al sorts of laksa. Same price as laksa shack but DOUBLE the serving!!

Enough about laksa already, now to get a good dose of penang assam laksa, any ideas anyone?

Something to be proud of?

I'll try not to sound like an ass here... but here is goes:

Results are out in UPM... or rather, they have been out for quite some time but I've just gotten around to checking them.

GPA=3.8

I know I should be very happy about that but I am actually not elated by that at all. I'm not unsatisfied or anything like that, mind you, just feeling numb. Exam results just do not seem important to me anymore. Who's gonna ask you how you did for your Pop Composition subject? not many, I'd gather (It was an A, incase you're wondering... hehehe). It feels to me, now, that exam results are immaterial and pretty much useless when you're talking to 'real' people and doing 'real' work. How good you are is judged by what you can accomplish and how good your product/'fruit' is. oh well... rant's gonna stop here...

--------

I'm right now in the middle of touching up my Final Project proposal paper. So sneaking off to laze.

--------

Neil Mellor for president!!!!! or Prime Minister?? hehehe... don't know who he is? He just score the winner for LFC v Arse just now.. scored it with a spectacular shot from 25 yards in injury time!!!!!! YEAAAAH!!!! Liv 2-arses 1 GO REDS!!!!!

A Small Tribute

Yesterday (or two days ago), my sis found a really interesting picture. It was when I was about 12 and it goes like this:

This small boy gave his pops a kiss on the cheek and the dad was smiling. Well, the picture actually does describe it better but don't have a scanner to scan it and upload it. But when i thought about the picture, I knew i still felt the same way, though he'd never let me kiss him like that again!! hahaha...

Anyway, the point is, I reminded me of how much I do love my father. Yeah, he shouts at me, and i shout back, but the unspoken things between him and me goes deep (I'd like to think so...). I really couldn't start counting the things that he's done for me and with me. From buying me stuff, which i had quite a collection of stuff like Transformers, Thundercats :D, Comics, Trading Card Games and the like; to doing stuff with me like watching football (screaming at refs=me, screaming at stupid young kid who can't keep quiet=my pop) and walking at malls (or what seemed like malls last time).

Thanks doesn't even touch sufficiency to give gratitute for a relatively great childhood. Still, THANKS for everything.

Thanks for all you've done.
Thanks for being the man that you are; honourable, brave(especially in decisions), loyal and trustworthy.
Thanks for trying and trying and trying.
Thanks for being my pop.

KL, oh, KL.

Back in KL and some things just don't change...like the traffic... argh...

Throat got worse...sigh.. I'll blame it on KL air...

Went to KLCC today, had a nice time with babygirl... Just walked and talked and be silly... The perfect way to goof around...

Good and Bad in Ipoh

Whee!!! The good stuff....

It's been three days back home and kinda enjoyed myself. Had some of the usual good Ipoh food; Tuck Kee "Chow Fun", double dose of "Pak Kopi" and gonna go for somemore the next few days.

Bumped into Ian and Lai Yeen while walking at Kinta City. Was really nice having a drink and a chat with them. Then planned to have "Chuan Fong curry mee" with him the next morning but darn phone... *grumbles at phone* sigh.. Sorry, Ian, will make up for that in KL...

Met up with Koks and Tat too.. Hmm...nice girl, eh, Koks?

Had a nice surprise from my babygirl too :D She came to Ipoh on my birthday!! :) Tho it's just a one-night-stopover on her way home, it was really nice... HAd fun with her, talked and went out just a lil bit. Thanks, babygirl...

Also, thanks to all who called me and smsed me... :) special mention to Charis *winks*... hahaha....

------------------

Now the bad... I brought back my cpu to Ipoh to backup my work and format the HD... but guess what? The *##!&(%@ windows died! stupid windows... stupid bill gates. If only there are more recognized alternatives to windows... there you go, monopoly at it's worst. Was supposed to do some work on my com too... Now i can't do nuts.. might have to cut short my holiday to get back to KL to settle my com. All my drivers and cds and stuff is in KL (which is another stupid story on my part)... Oh well...

Wish i'd have the dosh for a Mac system, should be way more stable than a stupid windows system. Plus, should be much better to do my things on a Mac..... Anyone knows a good 2nd hand G3 or G4 system that i can buy... less than 1K perhaps!!! HAHAHAHA... *dreaming*

Home

I'm going back to Ipoh for a 10 day holiday!!! YEAH!!!

Any requests from anyone? hehe.... but i'm not promising anything tho, probably gonna be busy anyway. Got to go on with my proposal paper.

But still, home is home :) first time in 3 months, i think. Hoping it's gonna be better than my last trip back home :D
